Restoration Description
This Ford Escort RS Turbo (S2) car needed a full bodywork rebuild. The car was stripped of trim and exterior fittings. The full extent of bodywork corrosion could then be reviewed, to ascertain the best approach to restoration. This resulted in a combination of repair panels, original full panels and fabrication work, for unavailable and the more obscure areas.
The car restoration went through many steps; paint removal around corroded areas, removal of corroded bodywork to a sound base, fitting and fabrication of new bodywork, panel alignment, welding and finishing off.
This results in a perfectly restored, rust-free base for the paintshop stage of the restoration.
